Commitment to Corporate Ethics

As stated in the Code of Conduct, we MonotaRO believe that in order for society to grow, it is necessary to have appropriate laws and norms, and it is important for each employee to do business with a high sense of ethics, taking responsibility and pride in her or his work. We promote the creation of corporate culture free of misconduct through the establishment and strengthening of corporate ethics systems and employee training.

Code of Conduct ”Comply with laws, social norms, and ethics”

We are aware that we are members of society and understand that in order for society to grow, appropriate laws and norms are required. We deeply understand the laws and norms of the society to which we belong, seek ethical correctness, and continue to be good corporate citizens.
As part of promoting corporate ethics, our employees take the following training programs

1.Business Conduct Guidelines (all regular employees) The link to the "Business Conduct Guidelines" is provided below.

2.Anti-Bribery (applicable employees)

3.Workplace Behavior

4.Handling of Personal Information (all regular employees)

Among the training above, 1, 2, and 3 are uniformed by the Grainger Group in the U.S., and they are deployed to the group companies in the world. MonotaRO actively participates in group-wide efforts to maintain and improve the ethical standards which are vital to act in the global community.

In addition, in order to prevent, detect and resolve possible violations of laws and regulations at an early stage, MonotaRO has established a whistleblower hotline within the company and at an outside law firm, where anonymous reporting is possible, and works with the Audit Committee, which consists of independent outside directors.

When a whistleblowing is received, in cooperation with the Audit Committee, investigates the facts and convenes a meeting of the Compliance Committee to discuss how to deal with the substantial issues behind the problem as well as how to respond to the reported case. The operation of the Compliance Committee is regularly audited by the Management Audit Department, an independent department within the company as a subordinate organization of the Audit Committee.

We will continue and develop the above efforts to remain the group of sound individuals who constantly pursue the fairness of actions.
